Meet PassGAN, a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) that can autonomously learn the distribution of real passwords from actual password leaks. It can crack any kind of 7 chars password in <6 mins even if it contain symbols.

According to a study conducted by Home Security Heroes, an AI password cracker named PassGAN has demonstrated remarkable speed in cracking passwords. The AI was able to crack 51% of common passwords in a dataset of more than 15 million passwords in under a minute. PassGAN can crack passwords in less than half a minute for 65% of cases and less than an hour for 100% effectiveness. The study found that artificial intelligence is capable of compromising most common passwords rapidly, raising concerns about the security of passwords.
